Recommended Baby Items

Hey, hello, howdy! I wanted to share some of my most recommended baby items as a 2nd time mom. For reference, I just had my 2nd baby this past March of 2025. My 1st baby was born in November 2021. Both of my babies were formula fed as well so that will probably play a toll on some items that I wouldn’t recommend, just because I personally didn’t use them as much as I needed to, if at all. Well, let’s dive right into it! This page is not sponsored, I am just sharing my thoughts and opinions for other moms out there.

Most Recommended Baby Items:

I have a few items are in my must have top 5 list. The first being the Baby Brezza Formula Pro Mini – or as we like to call it, the “Baby Keurig”. At first I thought there was no way I was going to feel the need to use this, I didn’t use it for my 1st born so why would I need to with this one? Well, let me tell ya. It is a game changer. No more warming up bottles before feeding. No more middle of the night formula spills everywhere. However, there are a few cons about this product…. You have to fill the water tank up pretty frequently. You have to clean out the funnel after every 4 bottles. And the price isn’t the prettiest (but mom tip, I found this at TJ Maxx for a third of the price. Not even kidding). Overall, it is my favorite baby item for our second time around. (Baby Brezza Formula Pro Mini – Amazon)

Happy Baby Carrier is my second most loved and recommended item. I didn’t have a good baby carrier with my 1st baby so I thought it would be the same thing this time around. I found the Happy Baby Carrier and so so so impressed! It is the most comfortable carrier I have ever tried. I am one to have back pain very frequently and this carrier feels great! 10/10 (Happy Baby Carrier)

Bassinet similar to the one linked below. I liked that the side zipped off so I was able to place the bassinet at the side of the bed and then unzip it when my baby woke up in the night to do feedings for those first few weeks when it is hard to get up. (ANGELBLISS Bassinet – Amazon)

Video Monitor helps to see and hear if your baby is okay while you are in a different room. I used the same video monitor with both babies and I love it. It does not connect to WiFi so you don’t have to worry about other people hacking into your internet through your monitor. (Infant Optics Video Baby Monitor – Amazon)

Baby Seat It is nice to be able to place your baby somewhere when your hands are all too full. I am loving this one, the Baby Delight. It is not a bouncer, more of just a chair but it does more than just that. It can sit baby up all the way or lay baby back all the way down. The height on the chair also adjusts which is so nice. I can have to at the lowest height when I am on the couch, or I can adjust it to the highest height when I am sitting at my bar stools. That way he doesn’t feel like he is always so far away from us! (Baby Delight – Amazon)

Double Stroller is a much for having two kids. I have tried a few different kinds of double strollers that they have out there, but this one is my favorite BY FAR. The side by side double stroller was way more up my alley compared to the type where they sit in front of each other. Now, I got this stroller as a gift – but the item is a bit pricey… but I really would say it is worth it! It is such a lightweight stroller, it fits through doorways, and has everything that you need. (Jeep Destination Ultralight Side x Side Double Stroller – Amazon)

Single Strollers are also super important! I got this stroller at a garage sale!!! It was in an unopened box and I got a steal on it. I have had it for over 3 years now and I still love it. It is so compact and lightweight and it is also pretty! (Besrey Lightweight Stoller – Amazon)

Swing my daughter absolutely loves this! (Graco DuoGlider Gliding Swing)

Hatch Portable Sound Machine (Hatch Rest Go – Amazon)

Hatch Rest Sound Machine & Night Light (Hatch Rest – Amazon)

Some other items I should mention that I recommend are the Frida 3 in 1 nose picker, pajamas with built in hand mittens and socks, ear muffs for loud events, a diaper genie, drawer organizers, sleep sacks, a baby book to document all the fun memories, and a good car seat and stroller travel system that works for you!

Items you don’t need:

Ok, now here is the part of the blog post that might get some controversy. Again, my two babies were formula fed so some items that I used or didn’t use might reflect on that. Here is a list of items that I believe are not needed.

Bottle warmer – I would just use room temperature water or the amazing Baby Keurig I talked about at the beginning of this blog Owlet Dream Sock – I honestly never used this product myself but I think the price is not worth it. Could be wrong….. Button pajamas – just stick to the zippers Electric nail trimmer – I have one but honestly just reach for the baby nail clippers instead Baby laundry detergent – unless you have a very sensitive baby, I think this is pointless. Baby can use the same detergent that the rest of the house uses. Bottle Sterilizer – this is one item I was really wanting for my 2nd but never got. I was able to make due with my stove, a pot, and some boiling water. Wipe warmer – Again, I just think this is a waste of money…

Thanks for reading my blog about my thoughts on baby items! Let me know what you want me to write about next! Maybe an article about toddler items?

Peace ✌️
