Mother’s Day!

Mother’s Day!

Hey, hello, howdy! Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there! Mother’s Day has always been one of my favorite holidays since it is so easy and fun to celebrate the Mom figures in my life – and even more now that I am included on being celebrated 🙂 This year a little bit before Mother’s Day is when I decided to create this blog and I figured it would be perfect for my first blog post to be about something that means so much to me. I created a mash up video of some videos throughout the years of me with my kiddos. Let me tell ya, once it was all put together with music and I was watching it for the first time…..there were tears. Being a mom is so special and my greatest accomplishment.

One of my favorite memories about Mother’s Day is actually about my Grandpa Don. A little back story, my Grandpa passed away a little over a year ago in April 2024. We all miss him very very much and he was such an amazing guy. This particular memory was when I was only about 3 months pregnant with Lita. My Grandpa put on a tea party for the moms in my family (me, my mom, my Grammie, my Aunt Lisa, and my cousin, Madelynn). I remember feeling extra special because it was such a shock being celebrated for the first time, even though I wasn’t a mom quite yet. My Grandpa set up the whole tea party. When we all arrived he has us pick our which tea set we wanted to use for the day. He served us pastries that he has baked himself and served us tea. All like a waiter would do. It is such a fun memory to remember and it makes it even more fun to reminisce on fun times with my Gramps.

This year for Mother’s Day, my husband did the planning again since we still have pretty young children that can’t make plans themselves – haha. So while talking to him about what I wanted to do, I told him all I wanted was a handmade card from my daughter. When I woke up this morning, my daughter walked in my room saying “Happy Mother’s Day!” with the biggest and most precious smile on her face and hands me a handmade card. How sweet. It was exactly what I wanted. Oh – but we can’t forget that about a week before, my AMAZING husband got me a MAC desktop computer!!!! So I said that was my Mother’s Day present too 😉

I hope all the amazing moms out there can enjoy this special day!

I love you mom!

(and also all the other special moms in my life – my Mother-in-Law, my Grandma Jeanne, Grandma Bobbi, Aunt Lisa, & Madelynn) — Obviously there is more but I can’t list EVERYONE 🙃

Peace out ✌️
